Austin Charles Bryan Hays is an outfielder with the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball (MLB) in the United States. His full name is Austin Charles Bryan Hays. 

In the 2016 Major League Baseball draught, the Baltimore Orioles selected Hays in the third round.

Hays debuted professionally with the Aberdeen Ironbirds of the Class A-Short Season, with whom he had signed a contract. The New York-Penn League is a professional baseball league headquartered in New York City.

The wedding occurred on November 11, 2019, and only those closest to the pair were invited. On the same day, Austin asked his girlfriend to marry him.

With the message, “We did it @samanthaakaye on 11-9-19,” Austin announced his wedding to the world on Instagram. I’ll always and forever cherish you.

On February 11, 2017, Austin Hays uploaded an Instagram photo of himself kissing his then-girlfriend, officially announcing their relationship to the world. 

However, on March 1, 2017, Samantha shared the first of many Instagram photos she would take with Austin.

The couple has enjoyed each other’s company and recent vacations in far-flung places like Bangkok and Niagara Falls, Ontario. Samantha also makes it a point to cheer Austin up by attending his games regularly.

In the 2016 Major League Baseball Draught, Hays was picked by the Baltimore Orioles in the third round. 

Hays signed with the Low-A New York-Penn League’s Aberdeen Ironbirds and debuted professionally in 2013. In 38 games, he hit.336 with 4 HR and 21 RBI. 

He began the 2017 campaign with the High-A Carolina League’s Frederick Keys.

On September 16, he hit his first major league home run and recorded his first major league hit against the New York Yankees in a 9-3 loss. 

For Baltimore in 2017, he batted.217/.238/.317 in 60 at-bats in 20 games. In 2018, he started with Bowie. Due to poor play and injuries, he was not able to contribute at the major league level.

On September 7, 2019, the Orioles called up Hays from Triple-A Norfolk Tides. Hays broke an 8-8 tie against the Philadelphia Phillies with an inside-the-park home run on August 11, 2020. 

Hays hit for the cycle against the Washington Nationals on June 22, 2022. Hays was selected as the 2022 Heart & Hustle Award winner for the Orioles in August.  Batting.250/.306/.413 with 16 homers and 60 RBI in 145 games played for Baltimore.

Hays avoided salary arbitration by signing a one-year. He has a $3.2 million contract with the Orioles on January 13, 2023.
