Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury’s full fight video caused an uproar on social media

On Sunday, February 26, the highly anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury occurred at the Diriyah Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Both fighters entered the ring with undefeated records, making for an exciting main event clash that was aired live on ESPN+ pay-per-view at around 9:30 pm UK time.

Jake Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, and Tommy Fury, a pro boxer and younger brother of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, had been exchanging words for almost two years leading up to the fight.

The intense press conference held before the fight only fueled the already fiery rivalry.

During the fight, Fury pushed forward aggressively at the start, but Paul initiated clinches in order to avoid any significant damage.

However, in the second and third rounds, Fury made a crucial adjustment by spending more time on the outside, where he could land jabs and right hands.

As the fight progressed, Paul became frustrated with Fury’s footwork and rare combinations.

In the fifth round, Paul deducted a point for hitting Fury behind the head. However, that point deduction was nullified after Fury was himself deducted a point for clinching in the sixth round.

The later rounds were close, and it became clear that Paul had developed into a fighter who could create a competitive fight with Fury.

In the end, one judge scored the fight 75-74 in favor of Paul, while two others gave it 76-73 to Fury. The pair is expected to square off for the second time.

Tommy Fury remained undefeated and improved to 9-0, 4 KOs. On the way to victory by split decision, he also received an eight count after going down from Paul’s jab in the final round. However, he insisted it was a slip.

Tommy Fury expressed his pride and determination after his victory against an opponent who doubted him for two years.

He acknowledged that many people thought he was running scared, but he proved them wrong by making his own legacy in the ring.

He believes this is just the beginning of his journey and will only continue to improve from here. Fury also welcomed the idea of a rematch if his opponent was up for it.

However, this marked his first defeat for Paul, dropping his record to 6-1, 4 KOs. In his fighting career, he had previously defeated former MMA champions Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Ben Askren.

Despite the loss, Paul had a positive outlook on the fight, stating that he had already won in life with his fantastic family, friends, and work ethic.

He also expressed interest in a rematch with Fury and believed they deserved it.

“All respect to Tommy,” Paul said. “He won. Don’t judge me by my wins. Judge me by my losses. I’ll come back. I think we deserve that rematch. It was a great fight. It was a close fight.”

Paul also mentioned that he was going through an arm injury while also being sick at the same time. However, he didn’t want to use this as an excuse for losing a fight.

“I’m just saying it wasn’t my best performance. I felt a little flat. One hundred percent, let’s run it back,” Paul says.
