Born on October 28th, 1988, in Lavelanet, France, Perrine started skiing at the age of three and began competing in moguls at the age of eight. 

She quickly rose through the ranks of French freestyle skiing and made her World Cup debut in 2014 at the age of 15. In 2017, she won her first World Cup event in Calgary, Canada.

Laffont’s greatest achievement came at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, where she won the Women’s Moguls event gold medal, becoming the youngest athlete to win a gold medal in freestyle skiing at the Winter Olympics and the first French woman to win a gold medal in freestyle skiing.
